There are many forms of yoga – from Bikram to incorporation of cross training (painful speaking from experience) through to the more traditional Yoga.
Wear something comfortable and ladies a tighter top so it doesn’t expose your bra as you move into more “upside down” positions. Sometimes you will be required to bring your own workout mat as well, just check first. Always bring a bottle of water.
Your session will start with a gentle warm up of stretches before moving into a variety of poses to give deep stretch to muscles. The point of the stretch is to strengthen the muscles, increase circulation and the pause of the stretch is where you can go inside yourself and be at one. The session will go between 30-60 minutes and will always end with you on your back in quiet meditation this allows for the rejuvenated body to connect with your mind.
Don’t expect your mind to be still, the important thing about meditation is recognized when your mind wanders, to gently bring it back to centre.
You will leave feeling calm invigoration.
